A lot can happen in a week. 

We wanted to let you know what’s been happening at Ghetto Golf and what to do if you have any queries about your future booking or events we had previously advertised.

We have a skeleton staff that are working from home to ensure, we’re still in touch with you, answering your queries and resolving any booking issues you may have.

We really appreciate you bearing with us and your patience during these unprecedented times. Currently we are dealing with over 1,000 queries a day via email and social channels, relating to over 31,000 bookings.

UPDATE – WEDNESDAY 18TH 2020

At Ghetto Golf, the health, wellbeing and safety of our customers and our people is our priority.

We are very much aware and understand that our customers and staff may be concerned about Covid-19, we want to reassure you that we have been monitoring the developing situation extremely closely and we’re following all advice issued by the Government, Chief Medical Officer and Public Health England. 

On 16 March, 2020 the UK Government made an announcement that included the following: Everyone should avoid social contact with others and stop non-essential travel to fight Coronavirus. Avoid pubs, clubs, theatres and other such social venues.  While at the same time confirming that from 17 March all social gatherings large or small would not be supported by the emergency services.

As a responsible employer, venue and member of communities in several cities, we are suspending our services, Bookings team operation and closing our venues for an indefinite period from Tuesday 17 March 2020.

We understand this may cause some disruption for you and your party, we are doing our utmost to provide solutions and the option to reschedule any pre-booked sessions.  We appreciate that you may not know when you would want to reschedule at this time.  Therefore you can contact us at any time within the next 3 months to reschedule for any session within a 12 month window of your original booking.  If you would like to reschedule now, we can process this for you:

Our Bookings team are responsible for all aspects of bookings, rescheduling and enquiries. The current impact to our business has affected this team also as they are unable to come into the office. Thus making assisting you with your booking in the usual way very challenging. We are currently implementing remote working and automated systems to enable us to deal with all booking and enquiries in the usual way. Please bear with us during these unprecedented times.

We will continue to provide updates based on further advice from the Government, Chief Medical Officer and Public Health England.  While there have been no reported cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19) associated with our venues, we hope to diminish the risk of infection to our people, our customers and our communities.

The Coronavirus lockdown means we must suspend our service as we are unable to operate remotely.

The scale and impact of the Coronavirus pandemic has been unpredictable and swift.  We do understand that these are unprecedented and potentially difficult times.

As you are most likely aware the UK Government made an announcement on Monday 23 March about Coronavirus (Covid-19) this included the instruction that, ‘we will immediately:

close all shops selling non-essential goods, including clothing and electronic stores and other premises including libraries, playgrounds and outdoor gyms, and places of worship;

we will stop all gatherings of more than two people in public – excluding people you live with;

and we’ll stop all social events , including weddings, baptisms and other ceremonies, but excluding funerals.

As part of the Hospitality, Leisure and Entertainment sectors the announcement has implications for our business as we are not able to operate remotely. We have suspended our services until the restrictions are lifted for our business and we are able to return to work.

We have contacted all customers who have made a booking and have not been able to attend because of the shutdown.

We have been humbled by the supportive responses from our guests for bearing with us until after we are able to reopen.

Once we are in a situation where the Government deems it safe to return to normal working practices, we will contact all customers with existing bookings to handle reschedules, vouchers and refund requests. For general enquiries, please keep checking our website for further updates.
