What's on in Newcastle? - Ghetto Golf

What’s on in Newcastle?

Introducing Ghetto Golf.
There are a lot of things to do in Newcastle. We reckon you’ve probably been round your fair share of sights and attractions.

Now, we know golf – even crazy golf – might not be everybody’s cup of tea. You might be imagining a few holes in the corner of some old theme park like in crazy golf courses across the country… but that just isn’t us. This is a place strictly for the over 18s.

Ghetto golf is crazy golf course like no other.

Fun things to do in Newcastle

Picture this: a mini golf course, which is also a music venue, an American style BBQ restaurant, a cocktail bar, and a graffiti art gallery. That’s Ghetto Golf.

Here you can play a wild, graffiti art infused 18-hole set listening to some of the best talent of the Newcastle DJ scene. Once your game’s over, you can kick back with a drink from our exceptionally well-stocked cocktail bar. We also have food from Slims BBQ Express, the BBQ based spin-off of the popular Newcastle restaurant Slim’s Porkchop Express.

Whether it’s a date night with a difference, birthday hangout or lads’ night out you’re after, we’ve got you covered.

Ever since we opened, our aim has been to bring unique experiences to the people of Newcastle, creating days and nights to remember and share with friends.

If you’re planning a party or work social, we offer a number of great packages to get your party sorted. The Albatross gives you access to the course, 3 cocktails (plus a glass of Prosecco), and a cocktail masterclass. That’s just one of our many deals to bring you the best night possible.

It might be a little bit “out there”, but we’re planning on making Ghetto Golf one of the most fun things to do in Newcastle. So, whatever event you’re planning, or whether you’re just after a unique experience in Newcastle, give us a call and book today.

The Coronavirus lockdown means we must suspend our service as we are unable to operate remotely.

The scale and impact of the Coronavirus pandemic has been unpredictable and swift.  We do understand that these are unprecedented and potentially difficult times.

As you are most likely aware the UK Government made an announcement on Monday 23 March about Coronavirus (Covid-19) this included the instruction that, ‘we will immediately:

close all shops selling non-essential goods, including clothing and electronic stores and other premises including libraries, playgrounds and outdoor gyms, and places of worship;

we will stop all gatherings of more than two people in public – excluding people you live with;

and we’ll stop all social events , including weddings, baptisms and other ceremonies, but excluding funerals.

As part of the Hospitality, Leisure and Entertainment sectors the announcement has implications for our business as we are not able to operate remotely. We have suspended our services until the restrictions are lifted for our business and we are able to return to work.

We have contacted all customers who have made a booking and have not been able to attend because of the shutdown.

We have been humbled by the supportive responses from our guests for bearing with us until after we are able to reopen.

Once we are in a situation where the Government deems it safe to return to normal working practices, we will contact all customers with existing bookings to handle reschedules, vouchers and refund requests. For general enquiries, please keep checking our website for further updates.

Thank you and stay safe.
